20 MPH Speed Limit – Various Roads in Winsley & Bradford on Avon

2. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (VARIOUS ROADS, BRADFORD ON AVON)
(20MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2016
(previously advertised as 2015)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that on 19th January 2016 Wiltshire Council made the
above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of
which is as follows:
Order 1
(a) To amend The County of Wilts (Built Up Areas) Order 1936 by the deletion of the
following length of road:
Schedule No.2 (16) Turleigh – The Bradford on Avon – Turleigh – Winsley
(unclassified) road from a point 400 yards west of the Urban District boundary,
through the village to a point 40 yards north of the junction with the B3108 at Dane
Bottom, a total length of 1027 yards
(b) To introduce a 20mph on the following lengths of roads:
C230 – from its junction with C391 Bradford Road in a south easterly direction to a
point 374 metres east of its junction with Cottles Barton
Cottles Lane, Dane Close, Dane Rise, Green Lane, Hollybush Close, King Alfred
Way, Lyddieth Court, Poston Way, St Nicholas Close – the complete lengths
Order 2
To introduce a 20mph speed limit on the following lengths of roads:
Coronation Avenue, Grange View, Kingsfield Grange Road, Woolley Close,
Woolley Drive – the complete lengths
Woolley Street – from its junction with B3109 New Road to a point 21 metres north
east of its junction with Grange View
Woolley Terrace – from its junction with Woolley Street to its junction with Kingsfield
Grange Road
A copy of the Orders and plans may be inspected at the offices of Wiltshire Council,
County Hall, Trowbridge during normal office hours.
Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the
Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within
the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any
requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation
made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders
may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application
for the purpose to the High Court.
Order 1 will come into operation on 3rd February 2016 and Order 2 will come into
operation on 1st February 2016.
