The event will take place between 10:00am and 5:00pm on both days and include a 15 minute road closure on the Town Bridge at 11:40am until 11:55am also on both days. Short stop and go managed road crossings are scheduled as shown below to see troops safely across the roads:

The elements generating the most noise during this event are the drill/rehearsal and the main battle, which both contain cannon and musket fire. The drill/rehearsal will be limited to an hour each morning (10:30am to 11:30am) and the main battle will be from 3:00pm to 4.00pm each day. There will be no loud noises after 4:10pm and the event will finish and close to the public at 6:30pm each day.
The English Civil War Society will be using the Beehive Field on Trowbridge Road as their campsite from Wednesday 27th July until Monday 1st August.
The Town Council would like to apologise in advance for any inconvenience, and will do our very best to keep the noise to a respectable level and ensure that any disruption is kept to a minimum.
If you do have any concerns during the weekend please call myself or a member of the Event Staff on 07712 206614.
