Bradford on Avon is once again getting ready for its best ever Christmas Lights switch on with Olympic Double Silver Medallist Jazz Carlin as our VIP guest of honour.
Father Christmas in Santa’s Grotto located in the Bullpit from 6:00pm bringing festive cheer.
The popular Samba Band Parade returns, talented singer/songwriter Shannon Teresa will be singing Christmas songs in the Town Centre and Lamb Yard will welcome the return of the children’s roundabout, Canopies and Christmas Stalls. A Choir will sing outside the Catholic Church and late night Christmas shopping will also feature throughout the evening.
The Giving Tree returns to Lamb Yard and will serve as a collection point for Bath Cats and Dogs Home and for Julian House in the weeks leading up to Christmas Day. Two other beautiful Christmas Trees will be placed at the Station Road Car Park and outside the entrance to the Tithe Barn.
Members of the public are very welcome to join in a very magical evening for Bradford on Avon and are advised to leave their cars at home and walk into the festive town centre. Lots of mince pies and mulled wine will be on offer for all guests in the local community throughout the evening.
Christmas 2016 will be the best switch on ever and the Town has much to celebrate as it begins to reflect on a hugely eventful year and celebrate the true spirit of Christmas time with family and friends all around.
The Rotary Club have once again contributed to an evening of celebration and the central Christmas Tree sponsored by the Lions in the centre of Town at Westbury Gardens will be shining bright as it did last year.
