Part Time Administrator vacancy

Monday to Friday 12:30pm to 5pm

Salary £21,693 – £23,111 (pro rata)

Job Description

The Town Council requires an afternoon Administrator based in our Bradford on Avon office.

This public facing role requires a self-motivated, organised and confident candidate to deliver the following:

  • Answering telephones, emails and face to face enquiries in a calm, polite and professional manner
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Administrative support to Town Council Officers (primarily the Town Clerk, Operations Manager, Finance Officer, Communications Manager and Tourism/Events Officer)
  • Strong literacy, numeracy and clerical skills.
  • Event stewarding, box office and ticket sales recording on adhoc basis
  • Hands on attitude to helping out around the office (setting up meetings, making refreshments, clearing up)
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, an understanding of cloud based platforms and social media/websites (the council currently uses Dropbox, Sharepoint and WordPress)

Qualifications and experience

  • Educated to a minimum of A level or equivelent
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
