Climate and Ecological Emergency Community Fund

Do you have a climate or biodiversity focused project that needs support?

Since 2018 the Town Council has made £10,000 available annually to fund projects that address environmental issues; with the declaration of the Climate and Ecological Emergencies, that fund has never been more important.

In 2019, the fund helped our drinking water fountains and bottle refill stations (more here). In 2020, it helped to secure Becky Addy Wood, supported the temporary repair of Avoncliff weir, and helped with development of the community Green Wall project in Lamb Yard.

All of these were quite large projects, which also relied on significant community funding.

However, it would be great to hear from community groups or individuals who have ideas for smaller-scale projects that they would like to run that may need financial support.  Members from the Environment and Planning Committee will then consider your enquiry and may contact you to request further details. Decisions to fund your project will be made by the committee.

Fill in your details below, along with information about your idea and we will be in touch soon!
