The Town Development committee oversees the management of the amenities and open spaces owned or leased by the town council.
This includes St Margaret’s Hall, the Youth & Community Centre, Victory Field, Culver Close Recreation Ground and Westbury Garden.
Town Development also promotes the town’s economic development through business, tourism and investment.
Town Development also supports the work of the relevant volunteer groups, such as the Community Emergency Volunteers (CEVs), the Tourism Information Centre (TIC) and CLean up Bradford (CLuB). It also liaises with the emergency services.
This committee is chaired by Councillor Alison Potter with Councillor Kate Bessant as vice chair.
Bradford on Avon Town Council is a statutory consultee and can only make recommendations.
