Online: Environment & Planning Committee Meeting

The Environment & Planning Committee meets every two or three weeks, and aims to champion environmental issues across all areas, including Planning considerations.

In March 2019, Bradford on Avon Town Council declared a Climate Emergency, followed by a further declaration of an Ecological Emergency in July 2020 and a summary of projects relating to this will be reported on during this meeting. The Town Council ‘s Climate Emergency strategy, Steering Group actions and further projects can be viewed on our dedicated Climate Emergency page HERE

The Committee also considers every planning application in the town.  Comments are sent to Wiltshire Council as part of their consultation procedure.
The aim is to preserve and enhance the town’s character, and to encourage sustainability. The Committee considers the issue of Past and Future Awards to appropriate successfully completed planning applications.

DUE TO THE ONGOING COVID-19 PANDEMIC, WE WILL BE HOLDING THIS MEETING ONLINE VIA ZOOM.

Please be aware that this meeting will be recorded and a copy will be placed in the public domain.
