We’ll journey through the centuries, from Handel to Bernstein, via Mozart, Verdi, Gilbert & Sullivan and more, hearing from Monarchs most worthy, and those whose lust for power and revenge eclipses all else.
The voices of lay folk will also be heard as we share Folk songs alongside Love songs and Operatic arias combining for an evening of joy, celebration and revelry.
Jennifer Begley is a highly versatile opera singer and performer whose recent roles have taken her to the Royal Opera House, Almeida Theatre, Spitalfields Music and Berlin Opera Academy.
Award-winning tenor Robin Bailey has performed with many of the UK’s leading opera companies including English National Opera, Iford Arts and Grange Park; he was a founding member of the acclaimed Voces8 vocal group and a regular member of Gareth Malone’s professional choir Voices.
