Toddler & Preschool dance classes
Price: £4 per session
In our fun and relaxed Toddler and Preschool classes, parents/guardians can watch the classes while their child dances in the space just in front of them. Whether children are confident dancing on their own or could do with a bit of support, we welcome all children to come along and try our creative Ballet classes together! Infant siblings are welcome to watch too. We are maintaining social distancing and working to keeping everybody as Covid-safe as possible.
Classes are held weekly at the Youth & Community Centre at the following times:
9:30am Toddler Ballet (2+)
10:15am Preschool Ballet (3+)
11am Preschool Ballet Improvers (3.5+)
On a child’s first lesson, they will be given all the props that they need for the term to keep and ask please that they are brought to every class. Children can wear whatever they would like to and the only requirement is that it is clean on that day and there is something on their feet, such as ballet shoes, house slippers, gripped socks etc. Hair should be back from the face with a hair band/hair clips etc away from the mouth.
In April and May, we’d love you to join us as we adventure through Wonderland with Alice! Along the way, we’ll meet the White Rabbit, Caterpillar, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, and Queen of Hearts. We’ll be working on communicating emotions through dance and building co-ordination skills in our ‘Wonderland obstacle course’. The children have the opportunity to free dance in a celebratory unbirthday dance, as well as a performance dance set in a rose garden.
