Explore BoA Tourist Information Centre re-launches

The Explore BoA Tourist Information Centre re-opened today, having been closed since March due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Though the centre was already undergoing some updates, whilst it was closed we took the opportunity to give the space a facelift and implement safety updates to allow for social distancing and to keep volunteers and visitors as safe as possible.

Steph Shearing, the Town Council’s Tourism & Events Officer (pictured below, right), said:

“We are really pleased to have re-opened today with a new range of gifts and souvenirs, a card payment machine and of course the ever popular duck food, sold in handy compostable bags!
There are so many great ways to Explore BoA; from treasure trails to keep kids entertained, through to historical tours, Lost Lanes bike routes and stunning walks.
So whether you are holidaying in BoA, directing guests to discover what the town has to offer, or already live here and are looking for new things to do, pop by and say hello!”
Of course visitors to Bradford on Avon can also find out lots of information on our wonderful www.bradfordonavon.co.uk website, though the dedicated volunteers at the centre bring that personal touch and wealth of knowledge to all things Bradford on Avon and beyond, and really look forward to helping you!
You can also collect your Shop Local card to receive special offers and discounts at local businesses – visit https://www.bradfordonavon.co.uk/boa-shop-local-card for more information.

To help keep our volunteers safe we will be working to shorter opening times:

10.30am – 1.30pm Wednesdays to Sundays

  • All visitors to the centre must be wearing a face mask/covering before entering the building.
  • Only one family group (max 4 persons) may enter the centre at a time.
  • Please queue outside and await instruction from volunteers to enter.
Thank you for your patience and understanding whilst we work to keep our community safe.
