12th April 2021
Information regarding upcoming local elections
Town and parish council elections take place on Thursday 6 May 2021 when registered voters will be asked to elect:
- Town councillors
- Unitary councillors
- Wiltshire Police and Crime Commissioner
How does this effect the Town Council?
Bradford on Avon is made up of two wards; North and South. If you have registered to vote, your polling card should state which ward represents you, and if not voting by post, where to go to vote.
Town Councillors selected by voters will take office for the next four years, and guide Town Council budget spending and policies which officers will then reflect in the services they provide.
Not registered to vote yet?
If you have not already registered to vote, you should do so by 19th April via: https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote
To apply to vote by post, you should do so by 5pm on 20th April via: https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/apply-for-a-postal-vote
Anyone unable to print a postal vote application form at home (necessary as a signature is required), should call Wiltshire Council on 0300 456 0112 to arrange for a copy to be posted out.
