About this consultation
We need a solution that brings the greatest benefit and the least disadvantage for our residents and our community as a whole.
This consultation gives you the opportunity to have your say on the town’s transport problems. We want you to help shape our future transport network and offer valuable insight that will guide us and Wiltshire Council in proposing measures that consider everyone’s needs and priorities.
You can submit your views by filling out the consultation questionnaire, which you can access via this link: Consultation Questionnaire.
You will have the opportunity to provide valuable comments on issues affecting specific roads/routes across the whole town and what improvements are needed via our interactive map.
Please send your responses to us by 11:59pm on Sunday 9th January 2022. We may not be able to take responses received after this point into account.
We are also running two ‘drop-in’ consultation events at St Margaret’s Hall on the following dates:
- Saturday 27th November: 10am – 2pm
- Saturday 4th December: 12pm – 4pm
- Thursday 6th January 2022: 4pm – 8pm
Timeline & next steps
We are now in the first phase of ‘The Future of Transport project’, which includes our first public consultation. Once we have received and reviewed all your comments, we will produce a report on the data and evidence collected. The report will be published and accessible to the public on our website.
Wiltshire Council will then work with Bradford on Avon Town Council to decide what would be a locally acceptable plan, based on the report.
Wiltshire Council has indicated a willingness to consider funding for a new scheme if there is sufficient agreement in the town on a way forward. We may need to consult the public again in 2022 on any specific proposed measures.
