As part of the plans for Poulton Park, Bradford on Avon Town Council is hosting a community tree planting event.
We’re inviting residents to help us Plant Poulton Park where you will have your chance to muck in, plant hundreds of trees and be part of our plans to reimagine Poulton Park.
We’ll be planting lots of smaller trees (whips) to create little forest areas in the park. We’ll be meeting at the Poulton Park pavilion at 11am on Saturday 25 March and will be delighted to see everyone there.
All we ask is that you bring your own spade or trowel, gardening gloves and that you dress for the weather, including sensible footwear.
The event is part of wider tree planting across the town funded by the Forestry Commission through Wiltshire Council.
Councillor Katie Vigar, Mayor of Bradford on Avon said: “It will be good to see lots of local residents join in with the tree planting at Poulton Park.
“This is part of our big tree planting project and we’re really grateful for the support from Wiltshire Council and the Forestry Commission in helping us do this.
“It will be wonderful to see our new trees planted in the park.”
More tree planting events will be announced soon. Stay tuned to our social media for more updates.
