Works at the footpath between Church Street and Barton Orchard will continue until Monday, 21 February.
The works were initially due to finish on Friday, 11 February.
Most of the pennant slabs will have been laid before the end of Tuesday, 15 February.
After this pointing works will begin. However, due to the poor weather forecast no work will take place on Wednesday, 16 February.
Work is predicted to continue for the rest of the week, but the weather is being monitored.
