On Friday, 1 April 2022 Bradford on Avon Town Council took control of several assets and services from Wiltshire Council.
To help residents understand the scope of the work over the coming weeks we will explain different aspects of the Community Asset Transfer.
As part of the asset transfer scheme, the Town Council is now in charge of many of the play areas around the town.
This means Bradford on Avon Town Council is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the play areas and play equipment.
Work was recently completed at the Sladesbrook play area to bring it back into use after a safety inspection identified necessary repairs. If you see an issue at our playgrounds, please contact the Town Council.
The play areas managed by Bradford on Avon Town Council are:
- Barton Farm Country Park Play Area
- Sladesbrook Play Area
- St Aldhelm’s Play Area
- Poulton Play Area
- Bearfield Play Area
- Greenland View Play Area
- Spencer’s Orchard Play Area
- Kingston Wood Play Area
- Victory Field Play Area
