Yesterday, Cllr Dom Newton met with representatives from Wiltshire Mighty Girls and BoA Youth Football Club, following recent discussions with the local Neighbourhood Policing team and BoA Youth, as part of our response to the recent arson incident at Kingston Wood play area.
Dom said;
“This is a hugely challenging time for young people in the town, and the overwhelming majority have responded just like the rest of our community – by getting involved in positive activities and it’s important that we recognise and encourage that as a community. The Town Council and various youth groups are now looking at ways to work more closely to support young people, both on the ground and online.”
We would also like any other youth orientated groups in the town to get in touch with us to be part of the conversation, so please email office@bradfordonavontowncouncil.gov.uk for the attention of Cllr Newton, if you’d like to find out more or get involved.
