BOA Youth is the youth service for Bradford on Avon which primarily runs out of the Youth & Community Centre on Frome Road.
In April 2024, we took over the management of the service from Community Family Care and now have a dedicated BOA Youth Team who run various youth sessions.
Youth Club
BOA Youth run a weekly club for 8 to 12 year olds every Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm at the Youth & Community Centre. The club runs throughout the year with the exception of a 2 week break over the Christmas holidays.
The sessions are child-led with the flexible space enabling a variety of activities during each session, including gaming, cooking, arts and crafts, table football, sports, games and outdoor play.
Drinks and snacks are available and if children are keen to cook (and we have all the ingredients), a light dinner is also sometimes provided.
The club is free to attend but a suggested donation of £1 per session is gratefully received.
Our BOA Youth team is grateful for donations from club members, which help us buy cooking ingredients, play equipment, art materials and more.
We set up an Amazon wish list to help keep BOA Youth thriving with arts & crafts supplies, games, and other fun things. If you’re able to help, simply select the BOA Youth delivery option at checkout.
Parents/guardians will be asked to complete a registration form, when their child/children first attend a session.
Thursday Teen drop-in
Every Thursday evening we open our doors at the Youth & Community Centre to young people aged 13+.
The session runs from 6pm to 8.30pm with young people free to come along at any time and stay for as long or as little as they like.
We have table football, a pool table, table tennis (if requested), gaming and arts and crafts to enjoy, or they can simply come along to relax and socialise with others.
Free drinks and snacks are also available.
The club is free to attend but a suggested donation of £1 per session is gratefully received.
At the first session they attend, one of our youth team will ask the young person to complete a registration form so that they have emergency contact details as well as a record of any allergies, medical conditions or disabilities they need to be aware.
Our Youth Cafés
Every Thursday afternoon we hold drop-in sessions at Christ Church and the Youth & Community Centre.
Our Youth Cafés offer safe, welcoming spaces for children and young people to relax and socialise.
The Youth Café runs at the Youth & Community Centre every Thursday from 1.30pm to 4pm. We offer 8 to 16-year-olds a safe, welcoming space to hang out and socialise. Perfect for children and young people who aren’t in mainstream education.
Kids can drop-in enjoy snacks, drinks, table games, WiFi, and art supplies — or even use the space to do homework. Plus, we provide helpful info on local services. It’s a fantastic way for your child to connect, learn and have fun in a safe environment!
Christ Church
Working with Discover Christ Church, sessions run from 3pm to 4pm every Thursday during term time. All ages welcome. These sessions are held during term time only after school. The sessions are a safe, warm and welcoming space, with refreshments and snacks, table tennis and games.
All ages are welcome to pop in and enjoy! Refreshments and snacks, table tennis and games are available.
