Barton Farm Country Park is one of the biggest green spaces in Bradford on Avon and runs alongside the river Avon. And the area was a working farm until 1960.
Whether you want a lovely riverside picnic, a walk along the canal path to Bath or a look around heritage sites like the Tithe Barn – Barton Farm Country Park has it all.
The farm buildings were located next to the medieval Tithe Barn, with the farm’s fields now making up Victory Field, Culver Close and the remaining country park.
This 30 acre country park stretches from the Kennet and Avon Canal for about a mile toward the hamlet of Avoncliff.
What you’ll find here
The country park has a variety of spaces and features, including a play area, lawns for picnics, the riverside, wildflower meadows, wetlands and an ancient bridge.
The further from the town, the wilder you’ll find the park. We manage the site as an important landscape and biodiversity asset for the town.
