Spencer’s Orchard is one of our smaller play areas – aimed at little people.
There’s not much here for older children or those looking for challenging play (there are other play areas nearby if this is what you’re looking for).
However, Spencer’s Orchard is a quiet and friendly space for toddlers who are becoming more independent and playful.
What you’ll find here
- toddler swings
- a see-saw
- an old fashioned horse springer
- places to sit down – including a bench crafted from a tree that fell down here years ago.
We also look after the grass verge next to the play area – managing this with people and wildlife in mind.
Getting here
You can only get into the play area from Spencer’s Orchard road.
The nearest car park is the Canal & River Trust’s Wharf car park at the end of Baileys Barn.
Wiltshire Council’s town centre car parks are approximately 10 to 15 minutes away on foot.
