Wiltshire Council is the highways authority for the town, making it responsible for most of the road network here.
As part of our goal to create a thriving community, we’re exploring ways to improve safety for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as reduce air pollution.
This has led us to pursue 2 major projects: investigating a a new traffic management scheme for the town (Future of Transport) and working towards a new pedestrian footbridge for the town.
