Poulton Park is one of the largest green spaces in Bradford on Avon, with an evergreen hedgerow separating a wildflower meadow and a playing field.
The playing field features football pitches, a children’s play area and the town’s skatepark.
The skatepark
n August 2023, we opened the town’s new skatepark at Poulton Park. Designed with Skate BOA and the town’s riding community, the skatepark was built by Maverick Skateparks, who specialise in spray concrete skateparks.
If you’re coming to the skatepark from the playing field, the grass here is generally cut short. There’s a gentle slope down to or up to the skatepark, depending on which direction you’re coming from.
If you’re coming through the meadow, there are mown paths and trodden routes around the meadow.

Play area
The play area in Poulton Park was improved over two phases in summer 2024 and autumn 2025 – and now features swings, trampolines, and traditional monkey bars.
There are two climbing frames – one aimed at smaller and younger children, and a more challenging one with the highest slide in the town.
There’s also a play kitchen that was designed and made by Bradford on Avon’s Men’s Shed.
The second phase of improvements (in autumn 2025) was made possible thanks to community donations.

The nearest car park to the skatepark is the Canal & River Trust car park at the end of Bailey’s Barn.
