The Town Council have commissioned a series of animations to help get poignant messages across to the community (and no doubt beyond) with the aim of reducing the spread of COVID-19 in our area.
Leader of the Council, Cllr Dom Newton said:
“Throughout the pandemic so far, as well as playing a role in coordinating volunteer efforts, we’ve found that communicating with the town – passing on key messages – has been a vital part of our role. To do that effectively, we need to get both the words right, but also find ways to deliver them in an engaging and interesting way.The animated Lego short films we’ve commissioned sit alongside the more traditional ways of delivering those messages – in a fun, eye-catching way, that has proven it’s worth in terms of the numbers of people reached, and, I think, the evidence of people’s behaviour over the course of this past weekend.”
At the time of writing, the ‘COVID-19: Exercising Safely‘ film has been viewed a staggering thirty-two thousand times across Facebook and Twitter, within the first five days of release.
