Thanks to the wonderful Lorry Watch volunteers, there was another prosecution on Monday 6th January 2020 at Salisbury Magistrates Court for a breach of our historic Town Bridge 18T weight restriction. Walon Limited pleaded guilty to breaching the weight restriction on 11th April 2019 and was fined £550. In addition, Wiltshire Council was awarded £200 costs and a victim surcharge of £55 was imposed.
Another recent conviction took place in November when Wiltshire Heavy Building Materials Ltd were convicted of breaching the weight restriction order and were fined £750. Wiltshire Council was awarded £200 costs and a victim surcharge of £75 was imposed.
The next Lorry Watch court hearing is due to take place on 27th January.
