Playday is a national day for play celebrated each year on the first Wednesday in August. And this year, we’re getting involved.
We’re hosting a fun-filled day at Poulton Park from 10 am to 1 pm on Wednesday 7 August.
Hopefully, the event will coincide with the official reopening of the improved play area.
Providing phase 1 is completed to schedule, we will kick off the day by snipping the ribbon on the improved play area. Be one of the first to try out the sparkling new equipment before celebrating the Culture of Childhood at one of our interactive play stations.
There’ll be a whole toy chest of free activities to enjoy. Bust a move with Bop About Dance’s drop-in disco, get crafty with Wiltshire Scrapstore or choose a fancy face paint to celebrate play in style.
Camp Rubicon will also be hosting skate and scoot sessions for beginners over at the Skate Park from 10.30am.
Booking is essential as spaces are limited. Reserve a spot here: bit.ly/44omyA8
Local groups Bradford on Avon Rugby Club and Bradford Town Youth FC will be running skill sessions, games and competitions. Learn how beetles are our buddies and what blooming plants are bug-friendly with Climate Friendly BoA as you create your very own bee-friendly seed ball or bug hotel.
BoA Youth will be bringing a treasure trove of lawn games – hook a duck, jumbo Connect 4 and more.
Pack a picnic and come play!
