1. THE COUNTY OF WILTSHIRE (BRADFORD ON AVON) (PROHIBITION AND
RESTRICTION OF WAITING, TAXI RANK CLEARWAYS AND ON STREET
PARKING) CONSOLIDATION ORDER 2010 (AMENDMENT NO.6) ORDER 2016
2. PEDESTRIAN CROSSING – B3109 FROME ROAD, BRADFORD ON AVON
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Wiltshire Council proposes:
1. To make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the
Traffic Management Act 2004 to amend the following restrictions in the Bradford on
Avon Consolidation Order 2010 by revoking Map Schedule No EL20 dated 31st
March 2010 and replacing it by the insertion of revised Map Schedule No EL20 the
effect of which will be to remove Parking Monday to Saturday 8am-6pm Resident
Permit Holders or 2 hours No return within 2 hours on B3109 Frome Road –
east side – from a point 30 metres north of its junction with Kennet Gardens for a
distance of 11 metres in a northerly direction
2. In exercise of its powers under Section 23 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
proposes the installation of a “PUFFIN” (Pedestrian User-Friendly Intelligent)
Crossing, a form of traffic signal-controlled crossing in B3109 Frome Road at a
point 136 metres south of its junction with Pound Lane
A copy of the plan showing the location of the crossing may be inspected at the
offices of Wiltshire Council, County Hall, Bythesea Road, Trowbridge during normal
office hours. Details of the proposed scheme may be seen at Bradford on Avon
Library, Bridge Street, Bradford on Avon between the hours of 10am to 7pm Monday,
9.30am to 5pm Wednesday and Friday, 9.30am to 7pm Thursday and 9.30am to
4pm Saturday until 18th April 2016. Documents can also be viewed online at

Comments on the proposal together with the reasons for which they are made,
should be sent in writing or via the website to reach the Sustainable Transport Group
by 18th April 2016 quoting reference LJB/TRO/BRAD/HY296.
