Books and bags to support skatepark fund

Community fundraising for the proposed new Skatepark continues in earnest, and there are now two new ways for you to get involved, and potentially snap up a bargain too!

Firstly, a huge thanks to The Cotton Bag Company who are producing Skate BoA organic tote bags and have generously donated the first 50 to the skatepark fund for free, meaning 100% of profits, that’s £400, will go towards the project!

The bags, which carry the Skatepark fund’s wheel logo,  are now available to purchase (cash only) at Christine’s Sustainable Supermarket for £8 each.

These very roomy bags are printed on both sides and made from sturdy organic cotton, which makes them perfect for carrying the books you might buy at the upcoming second-hand book sale on 12th June! More info HERE

Cllr Kate Bessant, pictured, who has organised the both initiatives in conjunction with the BoA Skatepark group said:

“We’re really looking forward to welcoming people to the town for the book sale. We’ve had huge support from the community with amazing donations of great quality books – lots of new fiction and good quality classics as well as fabulous non fiction finds.

Most of the books will be either £1 or 50p. Lots of bargains! It’s a great chance to promote reading and raise money for a project that will benefit our youth for many years to come!”

The bags, skatepark t-shirts and some limited edition prints will also be available to purchase at the Book Sale.
