Work to reopen St Margaret’s Hall is nearly complete — and we’re hoping to begin hosting some town council events towards the end of May.
The project began at the end of January 2026 and has been progressing well. The hall has been closed for over a year after the entire ground floor flooded in November 2024.
The next steps include installing new flooring and reinstating the tiered seating.
At this stage, we’re aiming to reopen the hall for public bookings in June or July. In preparation for the reopening, we’re also reviewing our terms and conditions and hire charges to ensure everything is up to date.
We’ll update everyone again as soon as possible — including confirmation of the official reopening date and booking arrangements.
Regular hirers will receive more detailed information at that point too.
