Bradford on Avon Town Council opposes proposed fire station closure

At Full Council on Tuesday 10 March, councillors agreed to oppose the proposed closure of the town’s fire station.

We hope to work with the fire authority, firefighters and other stakeholders to try to find a solution that avoids closure.

We will also write an open letter to Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue setting out our objections.

The public consultation is open until Friday 15 May, so please make sure your views are heard.

A final decision is expected on Tuesday 30 June 2026. For more information on the proposals, please visit the fire authority’s website.
