Update from Leader of the Council

With the lockdown now extended for at least another three weeks, Cllr Dom Newton, Leader of the Council, has released an update, reflecting on what this means to our town and how the Town Council is continuing to support and work with people in the community.

As Cllr Newton mentions, we are also thrilled to announce that the COVID-19 Response Fund not only hit it’s target of £2000 but surpassed it to reach a stretch target of £5157, which added to the £1000 donated by the Town Council, means over £6000 has been raised to help support those most vulnerable in the community over the coming months.

We are continuing to liaise with organisations such as The Hub and Julian House to ensure that they get help as and when they need it.
