Urgent works needed on Market Street this weekend

MARKET Street will be closed to traffic in the evenings this Saturday and Sunday (9 – 10 April) as SSE urgently revisit works at its junction with Silver Street. 

The works were originally completed in February, but the temporary reinstatement is failing rapidly, it has been said. 

The road closure will be required on Saturday, 9 April (5.30pm – 7am) and Sunday (4.30pm – 7am). 

SSE will ensure there is clear signage for access to Newtown and Church Street.
