Gina Fry and Debbie Bailey will be bringing their very popular Dance Fitness classes back to St Margaret’s Hall on Thursday, 1st May 2014 12-1pm. In the past, classes have been treated with a variety of routines – Dance fitness from the yesteryears with music from the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s. Also Zumba Gold, which is a low impact intense-appropriate form of the latin dance favourite ZUMBA. Now they will be adding in FITSTEPS to the rota, which is a dance fitness programme created by Ian Waite and Natalie Lowe from BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. Using traditional dance steps for, among others, the Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Waltz and Quickstep, the music is varied and familiar and leaves class members with a bit of Fred and Ginger residue!
Men and women of any age can join in the class as it is primarily an intensity-reduced class. Whilst ideal for active older participants, it is also perfect for anyone who likes a slightly slower pace but who still wants to take part and get fit through dancing.
