Bradford on Avon awarded Gold at South West In Bloom

We’re delighted to announce that Bradford on Avon has achieved a Gold Award at this year’s South West In Bloom competition.

South West In Bloom is part of the wider Britain in Bloom programme run by the Royal Horticultural Society, which encourages communities to improve their local environments through horticulture, environmental responsibility and community participation.

In July, Camilla Bassett-Smith, who judged the town’s entries, explored the incredible range of projects and community groups that help make Bradford on Avon so special.

Camilla said: “This small town makes a big impression. Hanging baskets are beautiful, and the green wall is a real feature, however, what stands out here is the incredible commitment to the environment from both the town council and volunteers.

“Nature here is nurtured, which is not only wonderful for wildlife but for residents and visitors alike. Bradford on Avon is really breathing life into a green future.”

Since 2022, we’ve taken over the management of many of the town’s beautiful green spaces, and we’re proud to highlight both the work we’ve done and the efforts of our amazing Town Warden team and the countless volunteers who help Bradford on Avon bloom.

We are extremely grateful to the residents and businesses who make our town such an attractive place to live, work and visit.
