Leader of the Council, Dom Newton, has released a statement urging the community to stick to the current COVID-19 government guidelines on socialising:
- Only ONE person may meet ONE other person from another household
- These meetings can take place in open spaces such as the park, NOT at another person’s home
- Social distancing of at least 2 metres should be kept at ALL times between anyone from a different household
- If you or anyone in your household has possible COVID-19 symptoms, you should stay at home and not meet anyone from another household.

Cllr Newton said:
“We’re now quite a few weeks into these measures, and although elements have changed, or may change, the fundamental rules around social distancing, staying at home as much as possible, and isolating when you think you may be ill remain the same – they have and will save lives.”
