Thanks to everyone who took time to attend yesterday’s Flood Forum.
We were pleased to host an event that gave residents the chance to ask questions and share their concerns about flooding with the Environment Agency, Wiltshire Council, Wessex Water and more.
A big thank you to everyone who signed up to join the town council’s Community Emergency Volunteers – their help during last winter’s floods made a real difference.
We had over 350 people attend the event, that will feature on tonight’s BBC Points West.
Mayor of Bradford on Avon, Councillor Jack Vittles said: “It was great to see the Bradford on Avon community turn out in such great numbers once again.
“We all know what a major issue flooding is in our town, and I was pleased to see residents and business owners taking the opportunity to chat with, and question, the organisations we brought together.
“The town council will be reporting back on the next steps once we’ve collated all the information from those present and I am determined that our town will not be left to go it alone on flooding.”
