Play area at Poulton Park partially closed

Bradford on Avon Town Council has closed the climbing frame in the play area at Poulton because of concerns about its safety.

The Town Council took over responsibility for the management and the inspection of play areas from Wiltshire Council in 2022.

And following a recent inspection, concerns about the play surfacing and the equipment meant the decision was taken to close this part of the play area.

The Town Council is sorry for any disappointment or inconvenience this causes.

Looking ahead, the Town Council has already announced nearly £400,000 of spending for the various play areas across the town – and Poulton will be one of the first spaces to see investment and improvements.

Following the public consultation in Autumn 2021, the Town Council is working with landscape architects on a draft plan for the whole of Poulton Park.

You can keep up to date with information on Poulton Park by visiting the Town Council website at: bradfordonavontowncouncil.gov.uk and by signing up for the email newsletter BoA Snippets at: bit.ly/3zkl6Rb

The rest of the play area remains open.
