Town Council install signage to help promote businesses in the town centre

Bradford on Avon Town Council has put up two illustrative signage boards to promote town centre businesses at the start of the year.

As part of its campaign to support local independent shops, cafes, restaurants and pubs, the Town Council has installed promotional boards alongside the Town Bridge bus stops to encourage visitors arriving by bus, train or car to head across the bridge to discover all the town centre has to offer.

“Our wonderful independent town centre businesses are a huge part of what makes Bradford on Avon so special. But we need to back them if we are to keep them,” said Mayor, Cllr Katie Vigar.

“Our aim is to profile our town centre and we hope that visitors and residents enjoy spending time here – whether that’s shopping local or meeting someone for a coffee.”

Additionally, the Town Council is keeping the town lights (Shine On) to brighten up the bleak winter evenings, has revamped the popular BoA Shop Local scheme and organised buskers at the Shambles and Lamb Yard, as well as promoted a business survey.
