Want to help? Join the BoA Community Emergency Volunteers

The Bradford on Avon Community Emergency Volunteers (CEVs) have been helping the community in many ways for a few years now; mainly during times of severe weather and at large scale events in the town.

Also under their remit is to assist in times of ‘civil emergency’ and whilst it was previously hard to imagine when such a thing might occur, the Covid-19 pandemic presented that situation, with volunteers working throughout the first wave to assist those shielding and requiring help with prescription deliveries, through to notice deployment for the Town Council and supporting Julian House with emergency accommodation removals.

The Town Council, who support the CEVs with the provision and upkeep of their vehicle, along with equipment, are hugely grateful for their support, and as we now enter a second lockdown, with requests for help increasing once again, are liaising with them to make sure they have everything required.

This amazing volunteer group is now looking for more volunteers to join their ranks, and help support our town during the coming uncertain months. It’s a great way to get out and about, at the same time as supporting your community!

If you would like to join them, fill out the form below, and a co-ordinator will get back to you shortly.
